PHOTO STROY- DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COLLEGE STUDENT DURING A PANDEMIC

     For this weeks blog post I decided to create a photo story of what a day in the life of a college student during the pandemic looks like. I know everyone has been struggling with maintaining their normal daily tasks since the start of the pandemic and with trying to find their new normal. So with this photo story I tried to show a little bit of what my new normal looks like! 

    I start my day by grabbing my keys and my mask that now hangs by the door so I do not forget it and I head to the gym at my apartment complex. I then make my way to the gym and I am greeted by a sign on the door reminding me that a mask is required to enter and a table with a stack of masks sits just inside the door for residents that might have forgotten theirs. I then head to the small gym to begin my workout. My apartment has made a few changes to the way we are allowed to use the gym since the pandemic including time reservations for gym access and masks are required through the duration of your workout. I am the only one in the gym at time to insure social distancing. Throughout the gym there are signs reminding us that some equipment is unavailable due to the size of the gym and social distancing so the options are a bit limited.Wearing a mask during a hard workout is tough but I try to push through and remember that I am doing my part and helping my community by doing so. 

    I then leave the gym and head back to my apartment where I sanitize and disinfect. Disposable masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant spray has become a decoration to my apartment since the start of the pandemic. It is something I use everyday and has defiantly become apart of my new normal as well as many others. After I do this I change my clothes, grab my back pack, and head off to class. 

    Although this is just a short look into my daily routine you can still see the changes the pandemic as caused for many people. I hope this photo story has shown that you are not alone during this time and even though times are tough, you should still try to keep living your best life!
